The Magic Jersey Is An Undeniable Success!

Wait... What's the opposite of success? Yeah, that's what I meant.

Ugh. I think I could smell that third period all the way from here.

Well, too bad, boys! I'm not taking the sweater back, and you can't make me. You're just going to have to get over it!

By the way, what the hell is going on here?

Whoa, whoa, whoa! Watch the Goose Eggs, there!

Charbacca, what gives? You conspire all A-S Weekend long to make me love you, and then you go and try to castrate Goose? Why must you toy with my emotions this way, giant one? WHY?!

Seriously, Chara. Back off.

Gambler, I commend you for taking a hardline stance with the Sabres regarding your jersey.

Even if they're tempted to spend all their time gazing lovingly at you in your new jersey on Desperation Hockey, they still have a job to do on the ice. Pull it together, boys!

Ach! McEve and I caught the game at the arena last night. We arrived with high expectations of playoff caliber hockey. After all a win would put us in a kinda good limbo, not quite in the land of promise but on the cusp of the playoffs. A loss, ach, once again in one of hockey hell's circles. Well, after two periods, we felt pretty lucky that Miller was helping us steal the game. Then there was one lame shot by the Sabres in the third period! Compared with the Bruins 17. Sloppy play, too many turnovers (= "poor puck management") Listen to Lindy's post game comments; he pretty much sums up our frustation. "Nothing more I'm going to say is gonna help this mess." It's telling when Lindy gets upset (he felt the team didn't deserve the point even). This from a coach who positively stuck by the team during the 9 game skid.
On a positive note, your Yo-Yo is consistently solid end to end and his retro jersey looks marvelous on you!

Please re-read Dad's last sentence.

He said the word marvelous.

Somewhere in NYC Tim Gunn is smiling.

Kate, thanks for supporting my cause. Sorry Sabres, if the question is "us or the jersey," I guess you have your answer.

Whew, Dad, I'm so glad you brought up that you and Mom were at the game. Now I don't have to worry. It's not my jersey after all that brought the bad luck. It was you guys! Man, I feel better. But yeah, what a stinker of a game to see live. I hope you took part in the sarcastic cheering of Kotalik's lone, lame shot. I would have!

Meghan, I know! I was hoping I'd get a "stunning," but I guess I just didn't make it work enough.
